This past weekend was the annual Kamahaku Family Pig Roast and this year, there were a few changes to the event. First, it was moved from Labor Day weekend to the last weekend in July and I have to say the weather was much nicer compared to years past. Second, it was moved from Kamaki's parent's place, to his sister Nani's and this definitely allowed for a lot more people to kick back and relax all weekend.
Kamaki has spent the past couple of months helping Nani and her husband Dave get their property ready. From terracing out their massive hillside, to building four staircases to connect them all, it was a lot of work! All that blood, sweat, and tears really paid off though - the place looked amazing.
Family and friends came from far and wide to set up camp for the weekend.
Lots of friends helped with the lengthy process of prepping, watching, and pulling the pig.

Michael and Tommy played ball, jumped on the trampoline, hula-hooped, stuffed themselves full of food, and basically ran around until they dropped.
Juliana was passed from person to person and charmed every one of them.
There was great music, great food, and wonderful company. Everyone had a fantastic time and we can't wait for next year - hope you can make it!

That looks like so much fun! Juliana is getting SO big - nd still adorable! We miss you guys - can't wait to see you! Not sure when that'll be, but I still can't wait :)

This looks like it was a blast, and Dave and Nani's place looks fantastic! No wonder Kamaki was gone so much!
I want stairs like that in my yard. You'd never have to go to the gym again! (Not that I do that now.)
